It is a fascinating history.

I think something to take away is that the Pilgrims lived in the presence of God all the time, though they struggled to do that. Look at it this way, imagine a small Baptist church in small town Kentucky of around 100 people, whose minister studied at the finest University in the world, and whose principle lay leader was a former higher up in the US Department of State, decided to leave everything behind for some desolate place. How would they keep their faith? How would they survive? How would they interact with the natives?
http://www.amazon.com/review/R1V5IV1J75GE2W/ref=cm_cr_rdp_permJason Greernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-17548359679663255372009-11-21T12:31:00.263-06:002009-11-21T12:31:00.263-06:00PreciousPreciousLorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04278046796060434139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-21132237482238229762009-11-21T12:29:57.008-06:002009-11-21T12:29:57.008-06:00Doug and I have the "Once" soundtrack an...Doug and I have the "Once" soundtrack and love it! Another analyst I've been reading said that the recent November election is a warning for the Dems that the folks are concerned about this. So if the Dems decide to stick to their guns - they'll need to be willing to go down (i.e. political suicide) for their convictions. Then there will have to be a mash up of the Senante finance and the Senate health proposals. Then a vote, perhaps as far along as February.

By then, you have the Senate bill and the House bill, so it goes to conference. The key is whether or not the majority tries to ram it through as a continuing resolution, rather than an ordinary bill in the Senate. An ordinary bill needs 60 votes to end debate. This bill won't, in ten thousand years, get 60 votes. A continuing resolution will only require 50 votes. That is the nuclear option, if so, then that signifies that both the Senate and House majorities are willing to go down next November over this.

I feel really certain that what we saw in the House this weekend will not pass, because it only got 220 votes.Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05263643229082863885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-63002811743508523932009-11-08T14:39:26.031-06:002009-11-08T14:39:26.031-06:00Nice Pic bro.Nice Pic bro.John Goinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10522864059169686238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-34661939089119372632009-11-08T14:35:56.817-06:002009-11-08T14:35:56.817-06:00My question - How does an investor take advantage ...My question - How does an investor take advantage of the volatility this bill will create?John Goinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10522864059169686238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-52770019390551877102009-11-05T10:29:44.499-06:002009-11-05T10:29:44.499-06:00I think this is an indication of how selfish we...I think this is an indication of how selfish we've become; that we will do whatever we want, regardless of how much it inconvenience others.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-31669445933631365122009-11-03T09:16:33.834-06:002009-11-03T09:16:33.834-06:00Because we are a nation of slobs who prefer televi...Because we are a nation of slobs who prefer television to human interaction.Audrey Woitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12529149205290525967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-71337394165614304332009-11-01T18:23:26.659-06:002009-11-01T18:23:26.659-06:00Amen Brother!Amen Brother!John Goinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10522864059169686238noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740986666027043483.post-15675496410566618442009-10-25T14:18:56.778-05:002009-10-25T14:18:56.778-05:00They are becoming popular because of Christopher M...They are becoming popular because of Christopher McDougall's book - "Born to Run", which is about the Tarahumara Indians who run in sandals.

If you have not read the book, you need to.
